The confirmed Midnight CatNap skin
Mob Entertainment's official store sells a limited release Midnight CatNap 14-inch plush. Its product description confirms that buying it includes an exclusive Midnight CatNap skin for Escape from Playtime. The official merchandise FAQ independently corroborates the cosmetic. These are the two primary sources for everything on this page.
The skin is a cosmetic item. Nothing in the official material describes it as giving a stat advantage or special ability. Cosmetics change how something looks, not how it plays. Do not expect the skin to make a run easier.
It is the most concrete CatNap fact currently available for this game. Other CatNap claims, such as secret encounters, were not verified. We keep those separate below. The skin is the confirmed part.
How the code is delivered
According to the product terms, the skin comes as a unique code. The code is emailed separately from the plush. Delivery normally takes one to five business days. Check your email after purchase rather than the plush box.
Each plush includes one code. Each code can be redeemed only once. The merchandise FAQ adds that redemption is tied to one account. Sharing or reselling codes is therefore not a reliable way to get the skin.
The merchandise FAQ also explains eligibility and support procedures for code problems. If your code does not arrive, follow the store's official support route. This wiki cannot issue or replace codes. We also do not publish codes of any kind.
The game is not included
The product page states clearly that the Steam game is not included with the plush. A copy of Escape from Playtime on Steam for Windows is required to use the skin. Buying the plush does not let you play the game. You will need to buy the game separately.
This also means the plush price is not the price of Escape from Playtime. Some players confuse the two when searching for the game's cost. No verified game price was listed at our October 18 check. Our price article explains what is confirmed.
Escape from Playtime is planned for Steam Early Access on October 21, 2026. The skin code will only be useful once you own the game on Steam. Wishlisting the game is the way to be notified at launch. The plush and the game are separate purchases.
Redemption steps and release condition
The official merchandise FAQ gives the redemption route inside the game. After your profile loads, go to Settings, then Extras, then Redeem Code. Enter the code there to unlock the Midnight CatNap skin. These steps come directly from the FAQ.
The FAQ says redemption becomes available once the game is live. That means codes cannot be used before Early Access begins. This redemption flow has not been tested in a released build for this page. We will confirm it after October 21.
The cosmetic code is different from the beta's test activation keys. Those keys only gave access to the October 1–4 playtest and have expired. The CatNap code is a private, purchased item tied to the plush. It is not a public reward code for everyone.
CatNap lore in the official FAQ
The official Escape from Playtime FAQ includes older in-universe background about a CatNap recall. That is series lore rather than a description of gameplay. It helps explain who CatNap is in the Poppy Playtime world. It does not describe what CatNap does in this game.
CatNap is part of the Smiling Critters, which the FAQ describes as a cartoon-inspired plush line introduced in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3. The playable characters in Escape from Playtime are Smiling Critters. However, the full list of eight launch characters was not verified for this page. We do not confirm CatNap's playable status here.
Lore background should not be read as proof of a specific playable ability, boss fight or enemy behaviour. Those would need evidence from the game itself. Our lore article covers the confirmed story premise. It keeps series history and game mechanics separate.
Secret boss claims are unverified
Some videos describe CatNap as a secret boss in Escape from Playtime. The research found no evidence that this is a normal gameplay encounter. Those claims are not presented as fact here. They may rely on files, mods or speculation.
It's Lightning's October 10 news video links directly to the official Midnight CatNap product. Its chapter list includes a hidden-character discussion at 11:29. The product terms, not that chapter title, establish the cosmetic facts. The video does not verify a boss.
Thinknoodles' developer-session beta recording provides game context. It does not contain verified cosmetic redemption instructions or a CatNap boss. No dedicated CatNap mechanics video passed verification. We will update this page if official footage appears.
What not to expect
This page does not publish reusable codes, because there are none. Each code is unique and single-use. Sites offering free CatNap codes are not official. Treat them with caution.
The plush does not include the game, and the skin does not promise a stat advantage. Unverified CatNap secret-boss encounters are not normal gameplay as far as the evidence shows. Recent ARG discussion has also mentioned the cosmetic. That does not make the code an ARG reward.
We will update this article once the skin can be redeemed in the live game. If the steps differ from the FAQ, we will note it. If CatNap's role in the game is confirmed, we will add it with a source. Until then, the skin is the confirmed fact.
CatNap and the recent ARG discussion
Between October 15 and October 18, 2026, several creators published videos about an Escape from Playtime and Poppy Playtime ARG. Some of that coverage was discussed alongside the Midnight CatNap cosmetic. The official store confirms the cosmetic itself, but it does not authenticate any community decoding sequence. The two topics should be kept apart.
A purchased one-use skin code must not be reframed as a universal ARG reward code. The code comes only with the plush and can be redeemed once on one account. Nothing in the official terms connects it to solving a puzzle. Claims of free CatNap codes from an ARG are not supported.
Our ARG article lists the dated creator coverage and what remains unverified. It also explains why a creator's solved title is not official canon. If Mob Entertainment publishes an official ARG reward, we will cover it there. Until then, the plush code is the only confirmed CatNap item.
