Where can you download Escape from Playtime?

Use Mob Entertainment's official Steam listing for the PC release. When checked on October 18, 2026, the game was not yet available, with Early Access planned for October 21. Access to the earlier beta expired on October 4, so old beta keys are not a way to install and play the current game.

The official download destination

The official way to get Escape from Playtime is through its Steam listing. The app ID is 2087540, and Mob Entertainment is named as developer and publisher. Check the title, developer and app ID before treating any listing as this game. Similar names on other platforms are not proof of an official version.

The official game FAQ says the planned launch is on Steam only. It does not mention any other store or direct installer. The official trailer descriptions also send viewers to the Steam page to wishlist the game. None of them provide a separate download file.

Once the game is released, it will download through the Steam client after purchase. Installation instructions should be checked against the actual Steam purchase and library flow at that point. Until then, the honest answer is the store page and its current status. No direct file link exists.

Can you download it today?

At the October 18 check, the Steam page said the game was not yet available. It listed a planned Early Access release on October 21, 2026. Before that date, there is nothing official to download. Wishlisting is the only action available on the store.

Mob Entertainment's September 20 announcement set the October 21 Steam Early Access date. The official release date trailer and the 360 cinematic trailer repeat it. That is the next documented milestone. It is when a legitimate download should become possible.

The price had not been verified at the time of checking. The developer has said it plans to raise the price at version 1.0. Check the store page for the amount when Early Access opens. Our price article tracks what is confirmed.

Supported PC platform

The documented release platform is Steam on 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11. The official FAQ names the same two operating systems. Native macOS and Linux versions were not confirmed. Mac and Linux players should not expect an official download.

The minimum listed hardware is an Intel Core i3-9100 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500, 8 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1650 or RX 470 graphics card. DirectX 12 is also listed. Check these against your PC before buying. They are minimums, not recommended settings.

No final download size or disk-space requirement was verified in the reviewed listing. We will not publish a guessed figure. Steam will show the size during installation once the game is out. We will add the verified number after launch.

Old beta keys and access

The open beta ran from October 1 to October 4, 2026. The pinned developer FAQ confirms that the beta code and access to that build expired at the end of the window. An old key will not install or launch the current game. It belonged only to the test.

The beta also required FirstLook enrollment with linked Steam and Discord accounts. That process was specific to the test and does not apply to buying the game. Having played the beta does not mean you own Escape from Playtime. You will need to buy Early Access on Steam.

The official 360 cinematic trailer from October 1 included a beta signup invitation. Its description dated that invitation and ended it on October 4. Do not follow that invitation as a current download route. It is part of the beta's history.

Misleading mobile downloads

No official Android APK or iOS download for Escape from Playtime is confirmed in the reviewed launch FAQ. The FAQ says the planned launch is Steam only. A similarly named mobile app is not sufficient proof of an official version. Be cautious with any APK claiming to be this game.

Official trailer descriptions include mobile links for separate Poppy Playtime chapters. Those chapter-specific links are not an Escape from Playtime mobile release. They are easy to misread when skimming a video description. Check the game name carefully.

Unofficial APKs, torrents and pre-release installers are not official builds. They may not be the real game at all. This wiki does not link to them. Our mobile article explains the platform status in more detail.

Consoles are not available either

The official FAQ groups consoles and mobile together and says the initial plan is Steam only. It leaves room for other platforms in the future. That is not an announcement of a PS5 or Xbox version. No console download or store page was verified.

The October 21 date applies to Steam Early Access on PC. Do not attach it to a console release. Our PS5 article covers what the developer has said about future ports. Nothing beyond PC is confirmed today.

If Mob Entertainment announces another platform, the official FAQ and Steam news posts will be the first places to check. We will update this page with any verified announcement. Until then, Steam on Windows is the only download. Everything else is unconfirmed.

How to be ready for launch day

Add the game to your Steam wishlist so you are notified when it becomes available. Make sure Steam is installed and your PC meets the minimum requirements. Keep some free disk space available, since the final size has not been published. Then check the store page on October 21.

If you plan to play with friends, each player will need the game on their own Steam account. The current store page lists one to eight players. Our co-op guides cover group play and common connection problems. They separate beta issues from the release build.

The developer has announced changes to navigation, the tutorial and other systems for launch. Your first download may therefore look different from beta videos. Our beginner guide explains which parts may change. It is the best place to start after installing.

Checking that a listing is legitimate

Before you download anything, confirm three details on the store page. The title should be Escape from Playtime, the developer and publisher should be Mob Entertainment, and the Steam app ID should be 2087540. If any of these differ, you are looking at a different product. That check takes seconds and avoids most mistakes.

Similar names can appear in search results for this game. Similarly named Roblox experiences and Project: Playtime are different games, not versions of Escape from Playtime. They are not official downloads for this title. Their own pages explain what they are.

Pre-release installers, cracked builds and key resellers were not verified for this page. Downloading the game outside Steam also means missing official updates during Early Access. The developer plans frequent changes after launch, starting with the items in its October 8 post. Staying on the official Steam version keeps you current.
